In psycholinguistics there are a lot of works based on experiments with lexical decision task, when the subjects should quickly answer if a letter string is a word or a non-word. The task itself implies a categorical approach: "yes" or "no". But it seems to me that letter strings can be "more or less words", and lexicality should be considered as a gradual notion. I'd like to have some support (or critics) of my idea.
