I am angry about RG that the systems often suggests to recommend articles which are not readable in RG but need a special request to the author. That is inconvenient. The system gives only the choice to reject the recommendation, but this is not the case. How to handle this problem?
Speaking for myself, I recommend an article to others when I judge it to be of good quality. The quality of an article is entirely independent of whether or not it happens to be easily available on or off RG.
I realize, of course, that some articles are much easier to get than others, but that is a separate matter.

Thank you for your answer, dear Jim, which I agree in all three parts: 1) We speak only for ourselves, 2) We recommend an article if we judge it to be of good quality, and 3) the quality oft an article is entirely independent of the question of its accessibility. So I should like to take the three points as introduction to my question in order to precise the problem. It is a problem of the system which always demands to judge many articles which often are available in an additional process to another time. Only a quick glance is necessary to see if hypotheses, methods, theoretical background are okay, if it is an empirical study - independent from results and their interpretation. However, if you get that pre-information not at once, but with hesitations by email-attachment at the other day or later, why should I follow the system? Sole exception: If the title seems to me important, because touching own research areas. Finally I am ready to admit: it could be my own private problem. Thank you for stimulation! Regards, Hein

Unfortunately it's true! The system surely will be improved in the future with the appairition of other options.
