According to scientific records and studies for evaluating the MIC of nanoparticle, the diluted NP suspensions in decreasing concentrations are applied directly to the tested bacterium. But I got a suggestion to do the test by using the obtained sample during drug release step instead of the ordinary method, which does not make sense for me and I could not find any article about that.

I want to add this point that in some cases it is vital to monitor and evaluate the antibacterial impact of other agents that are utilized in NPs' system like Chitosan, which presents broad antimicrobial spectrum along with the activity of the loaded antibiotic and must be applied directly to the bacterium.

As you mention some NPs show antimicrobial activity and if we utilize aliquots of the dissolution it will be impossible to investigate some activities on our study case.
