I have a large dataset related to a full factorial experiment research (3 factors 2 levels, DV’s were measured, by questionnaire, controls, moderators marker, etc, (cf picture)
I would like to reuse it to publish a paper in a journal that prioritize SEM and my question is :
Could I use only the questionnaire part (without the experimental factors) to make a paper about an existing theoretical model? In other words, are the latent variables, measured as a result of respondents exposure to the 8 experimental treatments, valid to be used like in a full questionnaire survey?
Ps: the reaserch related to this dataset has never been published.

You should absolutely use SEM with an experimental desing.
Not sure about "trimming factors" - Is this the 'experimental' aspect your considering imposing in some way? Can you maybe elaborate?

a priori, i don’t wish to conduct a sem with an experimental design. On the contrary, my question was if I can use the data collected in the context of an experiment as if there was no experiment but just a scenario for e.g.) is it methodologically right? (keeping in mind that the questionnaire is a result of an exposure to 8 different experimental treatments)?
But in case it is feasible to use SEM on experiment, So wouldn't it be too complicated to do that using SEM? especially 2nd and 3rd order interactions? it seems to be difficult event when using multigroups plugins and Zscores x IV interactions... too much work that journals may not appreciate?
