All you have to do is to take deionized water, put it on hot plate magnetic stirrer, (1500rpm at 60C) add specific molar conc. (usually 0.1M) of metallic salt into it (use only acetate or chloride salts don't use oxide of any salt) Next, you have to add Trisodium citrate along with 5g/50mL of Arginine simultaneously. Plz keep the reaction system on stirrer and heating during whole process. After 15-minutes plz add small quantity of PEG (1g enough). Now wait for 40 minutes...... Ur Arginine coated Nano-Particles are now ready. Separate them via Centrifuge (8000 rpm), wash them via dd water and characterize them. Plz use AFM, FTIR characterization and TGA at first. they will confirm ur Arginine presence around NPs.
