we have done fish on samples frozen in a tissue bank. We defrosted, fixed and embedded in paraffin for fish.

Thanks for that information. So far, I've found references to perform FISH from fresh samples. I'll try to proceed with them after defrosting.

As I can read for your comment, samples were frozen, then defrosted and fixed. Were the samples used immediately after for FISH? I'm not sure if samples can be storage at -20 after fixation for a while if they were already defrosted for fixation. If you could recommend me any reference about I'd be thankful.
