I'm starting to work with Tax4fun for predicting functional profiles from metagenomic 16S rRNA data. I'm wondering if someone here has experience using that platform. I have a few questions.
I have a little experience with that program but not much. If you're still looking for a functional prediction method you might consider our paprica program: https://github.com/bowmanjeffs/paprica. Happy to help if you want to give it a try.

Thanks for your answer. I've worked with the biom output from QIIME to generate my output with Tax4Fun. So the work is done just I'm not familiar in how to work afterwards and I have a couples of questions. At the moment I've decided to work with Tax4Fun and not use another platform.
Anyway, thanks for your links as I'm sure they'll be useful for my studies.
I've never hear before about paprica program. So thanks for sharing that information and the link. For the moment I'll be happy to work with Tax4Fun since I already have the output once running it using R. It is just I'm not familiar in how to work with all of that (either with R) so I'll be happy if I could ask you few questions that might help.
Would it be ok if I contact with you by email through research gate?
I'm learning to use Tax4Fun now, but I have some questions. I'm not sure what the Tax4FunProfile values are, and what I can do with the Tax4Fun output in the downstream analysis. I'll be very happy if you could help me!
