I need to produce a binary raster based on the automatically detected threshold value in Qgis from the 8-bit and 12-bit rasters obtained by the water index calculation on the basis of multispectral (mostly Landsat 5+) images. Such binary rasters can be easily produced in Arc by Otsu method, although I can't find the same option in Qgis((
I would appreciate for any help.

Thank you for the reply. Although the question title might be a bit unclear. Actually, the problem is that the threshold value is always unknown. If I would at least know the threshold values for every of hundreds rasters, I process, it could be a bit easier. I'm asking about if any method of automated threshold definition is provided by the software I refer.
