Is it possible to formylate 1-methylnaphthalene by the Vilsmeier-Haack reaction?

It is known that unsubstituted naphthalene is barely formylated in Vilsmeyer-Haack conditions, and methoxynaphthalenes are readily formylated by chloroiminium ion. Is it possible to formylate 1-methylnaphthalene by this reaction, or a methyl group is a too weak donor?
