Is it possible to detect alpha synuclein oligomers in brains of aged wt mice?

This is not my area of expertise, so I hope someone can help:

I sequentially extracted of soluble and insoluble alpha-synuclein from aged wt mice according to following protocol:

I used the c42 clone antibody to detect the protein in my western blot (BD Biosciences, 610787)

Addditionally, to the band I see around 15 kDa respresenting monomeric alpha synuclein, I can see bands at around 30 kDa and 60 kDa in the TBS-soluble as well als in the SDS-soluble fractions. Could this be oligomers of alpha synuclein? Are they found in TBS-soluble brain fractions?

Oligomers are found in insoluble fraction from synuclein transgenic mice. I never found it in WT mice (in middle ages). Use Syn1 (BD610787) antibody. Probability of finding oligomers is much better with Spinal cords than brain. Refer PMID: 15684072
