Is it possible to assay Nitric oxide generation in frozen human plasma samples?

Hi,

I wanted to measure nitric oxide levels in human plasma, mostly using the Griess reagent. Can I use samples which have been stored in -80? Also, these plasma samples are stored in EDTA tubes. Will that affect the quality of the test?
