I want to apply hub load (bearing load on a pulley). Normally I remove grooves and then apply hub load on the surface of pulley. ( I use ansys software)
Is it possible to apply bearing load for grooved surfaces?? cause when I tried it was not taking so many surfaces as input for bearing load.

as i understand from the question that you are going to apply a uniform load at a chosen places, for avoid miss choose or multi chose, it is recommend to use view setting to close to the area which you are going to load then by using plot numbers you can know the number of elements which has the required load surface, you can choose that element only then it can be easy to apply. I mean to select only the area which you would like to load by Select-Entities and then by Num/Pick after you get clear view (side or top) then you can close more by known the number of elements. actually in circular cases if you could not clear the applied surface, may be another surface in opposite direction is loaded not what you want.Best Wishes
