after subcritical water treatment i directly filter the liquid extract, then add 2 scoops of na2so4 to remove the water. Then, centrifuge it. Take the supernatant, then analyze using gcms. I got sugars example mannitol, glucopyranose and organic compound like maltol. So is my resulted can be accepted? When i used derivatise, i cannot get the sugars.

the GC-MS is suitable apparatus use to analysis the material with vapor chance, so, most not-volatile compounds will be destroy by heating.
so these apparatus was no suitable.
LC-MS is more suitable and Inclusive.
