When I conducted microbiological analysis of the yolk of egg I remarks that there are coliforms while enterobacteriaceae are absent, is this result logique?
What tests are you performing to determine if the bacteria are coliforms? It would be more like to find Enterobacteriacae that aren't coliforms, rather than the other way around.
Perhaps clarify your question. The family Enterobacteriaceae includes coliforms. If you mean members of genus Enterobacter - it does include coliform. Perhaps meaning is as Dr. Burton suggests members of family Enterobacteriaceae that are not coliforms. Perhaps Dr. Burton can provide citation or data that these would be more common, but if your methods are validated, I'd trust your data.
