Some academics consider it useful, others consider it indispensable, to direct one's efforts towards achieving the highest possible score in RG. This means investing time in interactions that have nothing to do with research and scientific work, because the main thing is to ask questions and answer as many questions as possible (the number of own publications for uploading in RG is limited). This way certainly leads to an increased score if you do it long enough. But one uses the system and does not dedicate oneself to scientific research. Is that justified?
