It is our normal practice to shift the patient in to the trolley after surgery and then shifted to the recovery bed.I donot think that infection control issue comes as recovery is with in the OT complex.I could not get your question clearly.
A majority of patients with OPD / day care surgery stay just on one stretcher or bed. Up to my knowledge there has been no adverse report on negative hygiene issues. Hitherto, these ambulatory patients are highly selected. Multidiseased patients are referred to hospitals where your questions remain an open issue.
