We should ask ourselves first; which is superior and what kind of justice invokes; the one of the men or the one of God.
Salary or economic gain has never been the best parameter to measure superiority, because usually government officials or heads of research areas have high salaries that are not always according to their intellectual capacity or professional competence.
Frequently, neither salary nor justice go hand in hand, since high positions in certain companies may be the result of agreements between institutions or between friendships and recommendations for "fidelity" and not for capacity.
Finally, I believe that wisdom and emotional richness would be more constructive and valuable.
I respect your ideals and your quick response to my disquisitions As everyone says his life, but many people can not go around the world asking how others are doing and comparing each achievement or goal with only the materialistic look.
Being superior is nothing more than a higher social status with various perks and privileges on the basis of certain accepted criteria relating to knowledge and experience in a particular field. There is nothing wrong to be superior , however the SUPERIORITY COMPLEX is quite a problematic state of mind.
Tariq - It is fair to be superior but to have a superiority complex is a problem. The responsibilities of a superior person is to coordinate the office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to institutional/organizational policies only. The superior should not be act like a boss and consider himself/herself as super-ordinate and others as subordinates. His duties are to monitor employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching and supervise administrative staff and dividing responsibilities to ensure performance. The problem emerge when the superior act as a boss and not as a guide, a facilitator, a representative and a collaborator.
Hmm an Open ended question. Yes it’s fair if you deserve it in terms of academic achievements, respected senior figure national and internationally, a respected teacher, etc. It’s unfair if gained the position politically alone.
Being at a superior position is prone to indulge in behavior that closely matched with the behaviors of a narcissist.Know it all and overestimating what actually they know are some examples.
At times, it's totally unfair because usually people mix superiority and obedience. Really superior people try to move mentalities, thus they don't accept the usual rules and statements. But even demonstrating their views a "scientific" way, with constructed arguments and original documents, it's never enough for those who chose to obey and they always would find a way to reject any innovative researcher.
When we talk regarding superior it creates our involvement in our working environment inspiring us to know more from our knowledge , of our career & also helping us to know more about the psychology ,human relation & to offer our helping hand for the guideline for the members associated with us .
In this line superior does not necessary mean only on standing but it creates an environment with the associated member to work in a joyful & confidential manner as such superior is totally aware from Ego
It depends on the objective you seek. If you are looking for egalitarianism (not to be confused with equality), that is not fair. However, if you seek freedom, equality (to each person what need or deserve) and justice, yes it is.
It depends either you work for salary or for your self satisfaction/ ambitions. Salary is dependant on multiple factors like chances, links, organization and your luck etc.
It is okay my dear Tariq ... if Allah will bless your salary even it’s lower than the others ...
Be sure that with the blessing it will be more than enough ... and don't worry if the others take what you said even they are failures already ... Allah knows what they are doing ... and what you are doing
Interesting question , my friend. A previous employer once asked all of the employees (privately) if they considered themselves Top 50% or Bottom 50% in skill and value to the company. EVERY employee placed themselves Top 50%. As we all know, that is mathematically impossible! Self-evaluation is the least valid evaluation.
