The issue of charging exorbitant processing fees by most peer reviewed journals is becoming a challenge for most researchers who can not afford these fees yet they have very good information for the readers in the wider scientific community. In most of these journals, reviewers do not demand for any fees nor expect fees from these journals upon conducting a thorough review. We have information that some journals have policies on waivers which have been implemented for several years successfully.
Could there be another way of doing it?
