I was under the impression that ResearchGate was supposed to highlight the individual efforts of individual researchers. I am concerned if this platform becomes transformed into an advertising platform as is being used by Louangrath et al. at The International Journal of Research & Methodology in Social Science (http://www.socialsciencepublication.com/board_of_editors.htm) to attract papers to their journal. Try to imagine if all journals started creating "projects", disguised as academic projects, but in fact simply trying to access the millions of ResearchGate researchers (for free). This site and platform would become flooded with "noise". I think that ResearchGate has to start checking and moderating projects to avoid platform abuse. Does Dr. Paul T.I. Louangrath see the leading publishers like Elsevier, SpringerNature, Wiley or Taylor & Francis advertising their journals on ResearchGate to attract authors?
