different antioxidant estimation protocols are available, but the latest one is ORAC protocol. so is it apt to use it.. if so the may i have the detailed protocol of antioxidant estimation using ORAC method.
My dear Friend: I have a question for you: that is; WHAT IS SO BAD ABOUT THE ORAC METHOD DETERMINING ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY? As you have rightly pointed out there are several methods of determining antioxidant values; remember that each method has its own merits and demerits and you are the best judge to select which one is most suited for your work.
In 2012 USDA’s Nutrient Data Laboratory (NDL) removed the USDA ORAC Database for Selected Foods from the NDL website due to mounting evidence that the values indicating antioxidant capacity have no relevance to the effects of specific bioactive compounds, including polyphenols on human health.
