The use of automated urine analyzers gives you much more consistancy. People get tired, distracted or lazy. Machines don't. i did a 20 sample comparsion between the automated dipstick and manual dipstick using controls. There were more differecnces than I expected. The machine was right more then the manual method.

Using visual reading should be banned completely. Human eye is not a measuring instrument.
