Many countries have put in place containment measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus. However, is this measure the best solution to fight this pandemic? In other words, how effective is containment in the fight against this Covid-19 pandemic?
In my personal opinion, containment is one of the measures used by governments. However, it would not be fully correct to assume that it is the best way to deal with the same. Nonetheless, an eclectic approach combining several measures together is what the governments across globe are considering and that seems appropriate too.
Ben, containment is just one of the measures that a range of countries have adopted in trying to minimise the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic. There are other measures that have been adopted both in the developed and developing economies including social distancing, an increased observance of hygiene measures such as washing of hands and faces and so on. Needless to point out that caution and common sense are key in observance of these measures as a vaccine is yet to be found.
