According to The Washington Post (via THE WEEK, June 15, 2018) China is on track to surpass the USA in spending on scientific research by the end of this year. The U.S. spends $500 billion annually on research, but China has been increasing its spending by an average of 18% a year, and is now luring foreign scientists and retaining Chinese who used to emigrate to the U.S.

The Population of China is 1,409,517,397 Number of People from 7,550,262,101 People of Whole World of 233 Countries in this Planet Earth.
There are about Approximately 19.2% - 20% World Population living in China Alone.
The Quality of life of 50% of Chinese People is Poor to Very Bad.
Chinese Government needs to Spend 20% of world Money according to their Population 20% of the world which I dont think they are spending. Also Corruption is Major Problem in China as Half of the Developmental Budget not reach to Facilities.
All the Above Figures are True. It would take Centuries of work done and Persistent Hard work till China could lead or USA or EU would give up to China which seems Impossible. Not now
