I think character is a set of (somewhat inherent) behaviors initially cultivated and shaped during childhood and heavily dependent upon vast environmental factors to ultimately influence and culminate onto a particular trajectory in adulthood. I think knowledge is intentional (some may say that character building is also intentional) and therefore requires one to seek information to form a knowledge base, or a particular worldview. I think that this, with daily life experiences, consciously and subconsciously creates a continuous progression of personality traits to form character [building].
In short, in my opinion character is definitely built upon knowledge. I don't think that knowledge comes through character, they are mutually exclusive.
Knowledge is power .It has no limit & where ever knowledge spread it passes its fragrance for the involvement of the knowledgeable person or through some sources any viewers may receive the idea of such knowledge .As knowledge is no limit ,it covers a wide range of areas .
Character is a symbol seal for any knowledgeable person & as such character should the not replaced under any identity .Character covers the entire body range & if it covers under the negative element for conscious & sub conscious mind the very basic end of character may receive a full stop for the knowledgeable person as knowledge should not be covered under the black dot .

Actually, character is Affective domain which knowledge is cognitive. I think, character and knowledge are small correlated to each other. We can not say that good knowledgeable person have a good character.Knowledge is a way to built character.
Thanks for sharing. In my opinion, there is a continuous process for the 'building' of a character through knowledge, from almost the birth of a child. I do not know if this process has an end during the life of a person. Regarding the second question, my answer is yes. I do believe that knowledge without character is dangerous for humanity.
This question is little intriguing. A truly knowledgeable person will have a character worth emulating. Converse may not be true always, a person with a good character need not be knowledgeable!!! Yes, the blend is highly desirable, knowledgeable persons should not be flamboyant, self assuming, arrogant and disgusting.
Character and Knowledge are two independent variables, that exist or co-exist with one having absolutely nothing to do with the other. In between these variables is a third, "morality", which in my opinion is modulated by both character and knowledge.
In my view, both are independent of each other. However, one's character is probably the main determinant of how acquired knowledge is used, for good or for bad.
Is character build upon knowledge or knowledge comes through character?
Personally I think both character & knowledge are correlated i.e. knowledge can influence character & vice-versa. Reason being when we were young, our internal character e.g. mental thinking, moral values etc. was mainly shaped by external knowledge received e.g. from family, teachers, friends, religious affiliations etc. When we become more mature / grow older that we can think on our own, our molded character can influence how we should filter / absorb the knowledge & how we should process, store & apply the knowledge etc.
Is Knowledge without character is dangerous for humanity?
Yes it is & this scenario is analogous to a villain (character) holding a dangerous weapon (knowledge) in his hand or a toddler holding a knife in his hand.
It is a very good, but also a very difficult question. In my opinion both parts of this question are true. We need both – character and knowledge. They are like the two sides of one coin, like the hen and the egg. One needs a character (and not only character, of course) to improve his/her knowledge throughout his/her life. On the other hand, improving our knowledge we have the chance to improve also our character – for example to become more tolerant, to understand better the other people, to become more responsible… Actually, this is one of the main goals of education – to influence for the best our personality. But each one of us has his/her own character and different people can read one and the same book in a different way. If the seed in not in an adequate soil it will not grow. And to grow and to produce fruits, the seed needs a lot of care…
It's really not easy to answer such questions. But from my own side of view, I think character comes from many factors and the knowledge is one of them. However the personal character is affected by the environmental factors and people around you much more than just the knowledge amount you carry.
Both Character and knowledge are complementary to each other. Knowledge can enrich character, not vise versa. As for the last part of your question, I can say yes, knowledge without character is dangerous for humanity.
Character is developed through knowledge and also the curosity of type of knowledge depends on the specific character.. for example .. a man of idealistic character mostly strive for idealistic knowledge
There is another point that must be taken into account. Ambient conditions are important for the manifestation of the character and intelligence. It terms of education, age, society, the circumstances ...
Through knowledge you can build your character, not the opposite. Once character is well established, than it is enriched via knowledge and experience, so I think these two terms complement each other.
Character and Knowledge are the two sides of the same coin and both cannot be interlinked to nurture the other, Character is something that need to be taught and molded from the time we step into this world, knowledge can be acquired anytime throughout our lifetime. In my personal opinion my vote goes for character, as knowledge in the hands of a person without character is equivalent to no knowledge at all.
