Thank you Professor Deon Bezuidenhout , I have tried your above mentioned marker as well in PBMC for counting the EPC events. It was CD14 negative and cd 34, cd 133 and cd 309 positive. I have tried many times in human PBMC.The result was either 5 ,2 or sometimes 0. Kindly help me for the same ,Also what would be the range of EPC found in healthy and patient PBMCs.
The number of EPCs found in adult PBMCs varies significantly between one donor to another. However, you should expect 0.1-1 EPCs per 10^6 PBMCs. That may also change depending on your definition (the surface markers).
