Hi everyone !.
I know the band gap of Bi2Te3 is very narrow, However, It is Direct , or Indirect ?
Hope someone can help me,
Regards ! :)
Bi2Te3 has a direct band gap at the G k-point.
Best regards,
Andriy
A direct band gap .
It is controversial. At some point it is direct band gap and other point it seems to an indirect band gap. Please go through this article.

Gourab Das:
I see!
Does this mean that the gap between the valence band and the conduction band at some points of k (k vector) has a direct band transition, and at other values of k the gap transition is indirect?
