In view of the enormous efforts to treat Ebola infected patients Is anyone taking blood samples from patients that have survived the Ebola virus infection (about 50%) with the intention of extracting antibodies and finding those responsible for resolution of the virus? Patients with that survive viral infections often have antibodies at the end of the infection that are particularly beneficial in viral resolution in early stages of viral infection. Which antibodies have been identified so far and is anyone in West Africa taking the blood samples in the midst of the chaos?
