TD work as highlighted by Henry Giroux and Susan Searls-Giroux (2004 - Take Back Higher Education) is critical of hierarchical research elites, operates on the margins, and includes non-academic partners such as INGOs, NGOs, and Indigenous stakeholders.
Interesting, and I have never heard of it! Thanks for the information. I could have utilized it in my dissertation. But there is always more research to be done!
Most welcome - from our Canadian perspectives we've also noted that TD includes Indigenous epistemologies in much of the (post) colonial literature and research from US, South America, Canada, NZ and Australian authors, but not from those located in European centres - that literature is critically oriented towards holistic and complexity thinking but is mostly (traditionally) scientific in its methodological and ontological content. Perhaps a secondary analysis of your doctoral findings within this emergent discourse...?
