I'm currently in the process of investigating the effect that utilizing specific learning targets (as a strategic instructional model) and evaluating its effect upon student performance. I'm interested to know what effects, if any, have been noted by other teachers or school districts currently utilizing this stratagem. Additionally, I would be most interested to know of any other relevant research, or knowledgeable researchers, currently covering this topic as well. In addition to the works of Robert Marzano and John Hattie, are there other outstanding researchers you've encountered while researching this topic, or utilizing it in your classroom/school district?
