Thank you for your contribution. But in addition to this literature do you have practical experience with interventions oder instruments; for example CQI (countertransference questionnaire inventory), alliance or session related feedback instruments for patients in supervision of therapists etc.
Thank you very much. I know the authors publications. For me their research is very important especially for the treatment of ego structural disorders (PD). My question is the attempt to initiate a discussion and an exchange therapist about their therapeutic practice, the problems and benefits of different instruments and interventions.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, David. Egon, can you say more about what you're looking for? With a better understanding, I will try to help. Best, Chris
Due to empirical researches about the importance of goal directed collaboration I am interested in the exchange of practical experience on the use of „alliance supporting tools“, especially in the field of therapeutic homebased treatment with Multiproblem Families (MPF). Why? To foster the working alliance ist the most model relevant technique. Which „alliance supporting tools“ are used in different fields of psychotherapy through therapists? How are they used? Which practical experience do they have? For example: How can we use Countertransference Questionnaire inventory (CQI) in the process of supervision of therapists; or which experiences to we have with Outcome and Session-scales (Lambert M. and others) with our clients with different diagnoses (PD etc.) or stages of change? I am primarily interested in practical experiences of supervisors, psychotherapists and clients (acceptability, useability etc.).
Egon, I'm attaching an excerpt from Lambert's Clinical Support Tool for alliance problems & a version of our alliance rupture coding manual (latest version will be posted on Catherine Eubanks' profile soon): I can see these being useful for clinical training & practice - in addition to research. I'm not sure, but maybe this addresses your question.
A clinic in New Kensington, (near Pittsburgh) PA is using the Scott Miller tools to measure alliance and engagement. They may be willing to discuss with you. Email me at [email protected] if you would like to be linked to them.
Here is a relevant piece: Muran, J.C. & Safran, J.D. (in press). Therapeutic alliance ruptures. In A.E. Wenzel (Ed.), Sage Encyclopedia of Abnormal & Clinical Psychology. New York: Sage Publications.
In Sep, we will be launching a website with clinical support tools on alliance development & rupture resolution, including videotape demonstrations. I will follow up.
Hi Egon. As promised, our website on alliance-focused training (with clinical tools): http://alliancerupture.weebly.com/ Still under revision, but very close to going live (probably in a week or two). Best regards, Chris
Thank you for the interesting link. As a psychoanalyst I think fostering the alliance is the most important issue to understand the therapist effect. I am therefore very interested in this topic. I regret that I can not be in New York on Saturday, November 7, 2015.
