We want to have 5'000 to 10,000 words from several technical languages judged according to emotional criteria (valence, arousal, imaginability). Computer science often uses a few raters (2-5). In other disciplines ten or more raters are used (e.g. psychology, linguistics).
For a technical language, the emotional factor should be...close to zero. The emotion is, for one word, the relation between form (written or spoken) and effect over a human-subject. Technical language is tailored exclusively on a non-emotional factor, but on a scientific embodiment of data. Therefore, ideally, the emotional factor shouldn't interfere at all.
However, if you really want to extract this information, I would rely more on a human evaluation. 10,000 words means more or less @30-33 pages which is not too much of reading after all...I think.
