To my knowledge there is only one paper "Thornton et al. 1979. The ferret, Mustela putorius furo, as a new species in toxicology. Lab Anim.13;119-124" that describes values of reticulocytes in presumed healthy ferrets. Several books refer to this article, and I could not find any other primary research article on this topic.
"Thornton et al. observed the range of reticulocytes in albino ferrets to be 1-12 (mean, 4%) in males and 2-14% (mean, 5.3%) in females."
It's the only information that i have.

Thank you Ricardo. For what I see, all these papers/book chapters cites the research from Thornton. I was wondering if there was any other article (except Thornton et al) in which the authors have measured reticulocytes.
