I doubt whether a laboratory reagent can be used or whether the HPLC grade is better to measure the molar conductance of an ionic complex.
And, if DMSO is used as a solvent, how do we compare the molar conductance values with, to find out which electrolyte system it is? Any reference values?

Although I am not an expert in this field, I can assure that the quality of the solvent may affect the conductivity of a solution. The purest the solvent is, the better the results you will obtain. Most of the times, the solvents have impurities, which can affect the conductance of the total solution. I recommend you to use HPLC grade in case you have the availability. Another option is to use the laboratory reagent grade, and maybe distill it or something, just to be sure that the measures of conductance correspond only to the ionic complex and not to some impurities.
