According to the data supplied by Aviation safety Network (ASN), there were 15 fatal airliner incidents in 2018 resulting in 556 deaths while in 2019 the same numbers were 86 incidents including 8 fatal incidents taking 257 lives. In a recent investigative report released in Jan 2020 by BBC, it claimed that air travel had become 50% safer. It's important to bear in mind that in 2017, ASN reported only 10 fatal airliner accidents resulting in just 44 fatalities(lowest so far). BBC study had exclusions as below:

1.The types of planes covered by the research are the aircraft used by the vast majority of air passengers around the world. 2.The study did not include small commuter planes, and some smaller turboprop aircraft. 3. It also did not cover accidents involving military flights, training flights, private flights, cargo planes, and helicopters.Do you agree with the logic and analysis from BBC.?
