Application: to peel out epoxy coating from mild steel or glass substrate

Basically I am going to apply epoxy coating on a substrate. But since I want to peel out the coating for further AFM/SEM analysis, I am using heavy-duty silicone spray as a release agent.

Query: Will silicone react with epoxy and change its surface roughness, hardness, etc. ?
