There can be no single answer for such a question. What is morally upright depends on far too many variables, including the personal beliefs of the person making the determination, the exact circumstances and the purpose of the action
Since God performed the first marriage ceremony creating all that was created and ending it with creating man in his own image in the image of God created male and female, blessed them, gave the 1st commandment to be fruitful, multiple, replenish, have dominion over what he created, and performed the wedding ceremony himself before all the heavenly host and all his creation, I doubt nothing man could do would be more grandiose in a ceremony God actually established the morality of man and woman, Husband and Wife.
Gen 2:22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
Gen 2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Gen 2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
God the father not only created woman, God brought her down the isle, Man confirm the flesh, and God confirmed the morality of the union of the flesh giving woman the divine title of Wife (female head of household help meet to male husbandry). Adam said woman in his flesh, God said Wife in his Spirit and morality.
Mat 19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
Mat 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
Mat 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
Jesus first miracle starting his ministry for his wife, which is the church, was at a wedding. He turned water to wine. Water which was old testament cleansing was turned to blood (symbolized as wine) which would be his new testament cleansing.
Therefore the morality is established in the ceremony and the grandiose can never be duplicated. So it is better to marry man and woman in any style, size, small or grandiose ceremony than to burn. In the Spirit of God, let it be done decently and in order.
