I am looking for an IR laser source with wavelength ~800-950 nm to set up a focus lock system. Power should be around ~ 20 mW (more power is also ok). Most importantly, the beam diameter I am looking for is ~ 1.5 mm. I found one in Thorlab having a much wider beam diameter (3.5 mm*4.4 mm). I am ok with slightly elliptical beam. If anyone has any clue, please let me know.
There are several vendors that can supply this kind of laser such as https://www.eagleyard.com (power typically 100-200 mW). Best to use your own optics to collimate the beam. I think using collimators would be a good idea. Else, with suitable lens system, this can be achieved while keeping the beam at their foci.
