I want to determine the magnetic properties of my samples. I did the VSM test and attached the results. Could you please help me interpret the VSM graphs?
Thank you so much for your reply. The samples in question are security glasses (SiO2) with added metal oxides. I am interested in determining whether the presence of these metal oxides has imparted magnetic properties to the glass samples.
Hi doctor, I got the same behavior for a zinc oxide doped with calcium
I couldn't interpret it, the curve seems to be filled with ambiguity to me, there is something like a transition in the negative region, as the magnetic moment increases negatively and then decreases again. In addition, there is something like hysteresis behavior but in the negative part.
the origin point of the curve is not zero, this means that the sample has a stored negative value of magnetization even before applying the magnetic field
the same observation I found in my samples. I thought that there was a proplem with the VSM but I checked it out and it's working
I am interested in this behavior and waiting for someone who could give us a reasonable explanation
