Raw turnip sticks: are there components in the root vegetable turnip verified to inhibit the growth of Listeria monocytogenes? Looking for scientific validation to classify the RTE raw turnip from a Category 1 or Category 2 for Listeria risk. Category 1 RTE foods are those foods which can support the growth of L. monocytogenes; (growth greater than 100/g within the defined shelf life.)
