Indirect fluorescent antibody (IFA) assays to detect localisation of a protein in serum/plasma?

On finding the a protein of interest in human serum and plasma samples, I'm now interested to find out regarding the localisation of the protein; is it free floating, membrane bound with vesicles, etc. I have come across IFA techniques in my university courses, but am not sure if I could pull this off for serum samples.

Any insights, please?
