Increase DNA hybridization efficiency by starting with dsDNA template and heating?

I need help finding a paper, I had it on an old laptop but lost the PDF somehow. The researchers immobilized dsDNA on a gold surface and then removed the complement strand through denaturation. This gave them about 85% hybridization efficiency since they has the dsDNA template as a "spacer". Is this familiar to anybody? Thanks in advance
