i have selected these antibiotics penicillin, tetracycline, chloramphenicol, rifampin, fluoroquinolone, metronidazole, isoniazid and trimethoprim for the MIC study. suggest me in what these each antibiotics can be completely dissolved.

Tetracycline - 50% ethanol
Chloramphenicol - 70% ethanol
Penicillin - water
Rifampicin - 100% ethanol
Trimethoprim - Water

Hi,
I recommend you to follow the CLSI or EUCAST guidelines to select the best solvents and diluents for your antimicrobials.
CLSI:
-Antimicrobial agent: solvent - diluent.
-Penicillin: water.
-Tetracycline: water.
-Chloramphenicol: 95% ethanol - water.
-Rifampin: Methanol (maximum concentration = 640 ug/mL) - water (with string).
-Metronidazole: DMSO - water.
-Trimethoprim: 0.05 mol/L lactic or hydrochloric acid, 10% of final volume - water (may require heat).
