I use physics controlled mesh option of COMSOL 5. But sometimes it takes a long time. When I increase the size of mesh, the circular shape of holes of PCF is apparently deformed. Could you please help me to solve this?
Hi Udaya, the physics controlled mesh is a useful tool for a starting point but it isn't always reliable and it can often give unnecessarily long simulation times. I don't know much about what you are modelling specifically but the general rule is to keep mesh fine around areas where the dependable variable is expected to have significant gradients (in your case this might be around the "hole shapes"). Is your model 2D or 3D? I could possibly guide you on what operations to use in comsol if you tell me more about your model geometry.

For circular holes you could just set a fixed distribution om the circular edges. The mesher will respect this.
