Does this mean that the patient will always deviate his/her jaw to the side of the condylectomy whenever he/she opens the jaws?

not all cases as there are an adaptation power of masticatory system and you can't asess pre oprerative

so in cases of high condylar shave or condylectomy you can put guided elastic postoperative and re assess the occlusion one month post operatively for either orthodontic rehablition or orthognathic surgery in rare cases

but I dont have evidence for this opinion , it's my clinical point of view
