We invite all qualified health professionals working and/or doing research in the acute adult hospital setting (both ICU and acute wards/floor) to participate in our study being led by PhD candidate Dominic Truong understanding how skeletal and respiratory muscle ultrasound is currently being used by qualified health professionals within the international acute adult hospital setting. Please note we are not investigating lung ultrasound. We are hoping to hear from you regardless of muscle ultrasound experience.
It is anticipated that this survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Eligible participants will have the chance at winning 1 of 2 International VISA gift cards to the value of $125 AUD equivalent.
Skeletal and respiratory muscle ultrasound is increasingly used in clinical setting related to diagnostic and therapeutic applications, like to diagnose muscle disorders & injuries, guidance for the procedures in biopsies and injections. Moreover, to check the respiratory muscle thickness and function. The biggest barrier is its operator dependence and equipment accessibility. Also require more educational and training programs with multidisciplinary collaboration among healthcare professionals.
