I would like to understand how to conduct a meta-analysis on published studies. If I would like to look at learning and memory and one of the many assessment tool is Rey's Auditory Learning Task, am I right to say I can only include studies that has performed this task?
It is not right to include only those studies that performed the Rey's Auditory Learning Task to look at learning and memory.
You can include all studies looking at (or measuring) learning and memory using different assessment tools in addition to Rey's Auditory Learning Task. In this case, you need to standardize the results of the studies to a uniform scale before they can be combined (go through the attached link and the article for more details).
