I'm student. I read some paper about the using bacteriophages for antimicrobial. I don't understand why the bacterial growth continue after treatment with bacteriophages in unsuitable condition such as low-temperature?
It may be that those bacteriophages are not effective at low temperature. In addition be aware that phages are not 100% effective, there will always be some uninfected cells and resistant mutants that arise and permit some cell growth after treatment.
