A loop sniffer probe antenna for HF/UHF is being developed and we'd like to apply a known, constant across frequency AC B-Field source to the region within the substrate where the probe exists (in the simple case, an Air box, sized large enough for the source frequency).

Other source options that we have considered:

  • Solenoid with a diameter large enough to contain the sniffer probe
  • Simple loop transmitter with the sniffer probe offset specific distance

However, each of these solutions would involve resonant peaks, thereby getting away from the constant across frequency requirement for the design.

Thanks for the time and consideration.
