There are few peer-reviewed articles, given the nascent topic of devops. That said, Roche (2013) provides an adoption perspective in QA. Other articles I found are conference papers, including Bang et al. (2013) and Wettinger et al. (2014). You should also look at continuous delivery (CD) and agile papers, such as Klepper et al. (2015). Agile methods, such as XP, align closely with CD. Indeed, extent literature largely considers devops to be closely related to taking an agile approach.
