I do not know papers on Mozambique, but https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Annette_Goetz/ has some publications on the Permian Karoo Basin, South Africa and should be able to give you more references.

There are some papers which deal with Permian palynomorphs. since palynomorphs are global distribution, you can use palyno data of different stratigraphic sections.
